World Autism Awareness Day 2020

"You from the Stars" Charity Art Exhibition

Celebrating World Autism Awareness Day Through Creativity

April is a time of renewal—a season of fresh blooms, crisp air, and new beginnings. It’s also a month that carries a special significance: April 2nd marks World Autism Awareness Day, a day dedicated to fostering understanding and inclusion for individuals on the autism spectrum.

This year, in honor of the occasion, Le Ping Fang Public Welfare partnered with Jiangsu Huahai Automobile Group to present the “You from the Stars” Charity Art Exhibition—an initiative aimed at raising awareness for autism and other cognitive disabilities through the transformative power of art.

A Canvas for Expression, A Bridge for Understanding

Through this exhibition, we aimed to increase public understanding of individuals with autism, Down syndrome, and other cognitive differences. Art serves as a bridge between worlds—one that fosters empathy, appreciation, and inclusion.

A Closer Look at the Exhibition

Offline Art ExhibitionWe warmly invite you to visit the exhibition in person and experience these inspiring artworks up close. This exhibition was more than just a showcase of paintings; it was an opportunity for these young artists to share their unique perspectives with the world. Each brushstroke told a story—of curiosity, gratitude, and dreams.

Visitors were invited to step into this world, see beyond the labels, and experience the raw, unfiltered beauty of their creations.

Artwork on the MoveTo extend this message even further, Jiangsu Huahai Automobile Group launched a unique initiative: seven test-drive vehicles will feature the children’s artwork paraded through Nanjing, turning everyday city streets into moving art galleries.

Whether you were strolling downtown or stuck in traffic, these cars, each branded with paintings from Volkswagen, Buick, Roewe, Chevrolet, WM Motor, Leapmotor, and Cadillac, will serve as a powerful reminder of inclusion and awareness.

Beyond the Canvas: A Call for Inclusion

These incredible works show that individuals with autism and other cognitive disabilities are deeply connected to the world around them.

They may experience life differently, but they feel, express, and care just as deeply. Too often, they are seen as existing on the fringes of society—but through initiatives like this, we can bring them into the spotlight where they belong.

For years, Nanjing Le Ping Fang Public Welfare Development Center has worked tirelessly to create opportunities for these children—organizing art programs, sports activities, and social events that foster real inclusion. With the support of businesses and individuals who believe in their potential, we can continue building a more accepting and understanding society.

Blossom International Study Abroad & Career Consulting proudly supported this initiative, hoping to inspire greater acceptance and understanding of these extraordinary children. They are kind, they are gentle, and with a little more love and support, their futures can shine even brighter.
